Cossack Squat
A side squat onto one leg with the other held straight. Strength, balance and hip mobility in a single movement.

How to perform
- 1.Wide stance, toes slightly out
- 2.Squat onto one leg while the other extends sideways, toes pulled up
- 3.Heel of the working leg stays on the floor
- 4.Shift across through the middle, or stand up between sides
Common mistakes
- Heel of the working leg lifting off
- Back rounding at the bottom
Tips
- Hold onto support, or counterbalance with a kettlebell at the chest, until mobility catches up
Limitations
Use caution with issues in: knees. If you feel discomfort, reduce the range of motion or swap the exercise — ideally after consulting a coach.
